Q: What is the difference between the "Free" and "Registered" modes?

A:
When using "Free" License QuakeMap allows you to use all features, except for:

  • Pre-loading of aerial/topo tiles, and
  • Importing historical earthquakes data.

  • After 20 days it starts to display the "spoiler" information on the aerial/topo maps and on the printouts (the shaded squares will turn darker with time, but will not cover more of the screen). It will not quit on you or disable any more features, so you can continue to use your GPS, edit tracks etc. You will also have all earthquake-related features available (except for initially disabled historical earthquakes import).

Purchasing and registering your version will immediately enable all features; subsequent updates will not require re-entering the License Key. You will be able to use QuakeMap fully, and support further development - for a fraction of the price of other mapping products.
